Very rare BMW M Roadster Convertible Z3M. Dakkar Yellow one of only 95 made that year in this color ( I think) This has the M3 engine in it but is much lighter than the M3 so it is FAST and very fun. The handling is second to none as tit is 50/50 balance. It beat out all other cars in its class for handling this year including the Porche 911. Comes with MANY upgrades and fun add ons. approx 104K miles though I only put on about 1500 of them. I had a new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing only because I was having the shift pins also replaced so I figured while the transmission was, out I should replace the clutch assembly. The original clutch was fine and will come with the car. Brakes were brand new all around when I bought it so only about 1500 miles on them. Upgraded the stereo, and subwoofer for a more modern feel and to have hands free calling. Also wanted a little extra thump from the sub. As with the clutch, the original stereo will come with the car in case you want to take it back to stock. New rear window installed last summer so its crystal clear.Battery is approx a year old. HERE IS THE REALLY FUN PART ~ Professionally installed exhaust cutouts allowing you to bypass the mufflers out the back if you want to get a really throaty sound. Operated with a toggle switch behind the passenger seat. You can sound like stock, or bring up the sound a bit and go nearly open pipes. Just 16,978 have been placed on this stunning 2001 BMW Z3 3.0 Roadster since new, and by only two owners! The first owner purchased the car new in Vineyard Haven, MA in October of 2000. They kept the car as a Spring to Fall toy, and brought it with them when they moved to Florida full time in 2005. Ownership shows a transfer in 2006, when they sold the vehicle to the second owner, and they kept the car here in SWFL as a seasonal use vehicle. In 2014, they re-titled the vehicle under BOTH names, which reflects as a 3rd owner, when in actuality, it was just adding a spouse to the existing title. The car has been incredibly well-cared for and maintained, by BOTH the prior owners, and one look at the 100 photos provided will show you that the car is one of the nicest examples on the market today. It comes with 13 receipts for maintenance and repair work done over the years, as well as a detailed log of mileage and fueling stops dating from new until January of this year. The most recent work was performed on 12/11/2018 at 16,422 miles, and consisted of a Cam position sensor, and a main ECM computer replacement. The Bright Red finish is in excellent condition, and shows only a handful of minor stone chips and blemishes from normal driving. It has a clean AutoCheck history with no accidents, and has been garage kept since new. There are a few stone chips that have been touched up by prior owners, and about a dozen additional marks which have not. All are only a few millimeters in diameter, and don’t detract from the presentation of the car. There are no faded or sun-bleached segments on the cars finish, and it shows glossy and slick all around. All panels have the appropriate BMW identification on them where it should be, and the only real markings on the exterior are the underside of the front fascia from parking lot curbs, which tends to affect all Z3’s of this generation. AutoCheck report shows NO accidents or incidents for the car, and paint meter readings are well-within factory spec for it as well. The optional Tanin Red and black leather interior and trim are gorgeous, and show only the correct aged patina you expect from a real, quality aged leather. All glass is in great condition, with no cracks or chips, and all of the power windows function as they should. The factory Sport Package provides the 17" cross spoke wheels and sports seating, while the premium package adds heated front seats and mirrors, electric convertible top, and wood trim. All options and items on the car currently work as they should. The optional on-board computer and BMW CD/radio system round out the factory upgrades, and the car carried an original window sticker of $42,220. It runs, drives, stops, and handles extraordinarily well, and the manual transmission makes the back roads and twisty sections so much more fun than an automatic. A detailed service history accompanies the car, as well as one original key/FOB set, the original window sticker, and the factory convertible boot. The original OWNER MANUAL packet comes with it, as well as the original window protector for the rear window when it is being used with the top down. The optional rear wind baffle comes with the car, and is in very good condition. It keeps the cabin from experiencing too much buffeting while driving with the top down. The cloth convertible top opens and closes with ease at the push of a button, and latches closed tightly. Rear window shows wonderfully, and has only a slight crease to show, while the top itself has no tears, rips, or seam pulls. Wheels are in magnificent condition, and only one of them shows the lightest signs of age and use, while the rest are issue-free. The tires have a modest amount of tread left, and will require replacement soon, but since they are such a subjective matter among Z3 enthusiasts, we left the decision of picking a brand up to the new owner. It runs and drives wonderfully, and still has the tightness associated with new cars when putting it through its paces. Clutch is smooth and firm, with a correct take-up and solid release between gears. Transmission shifts seamlessly up, or down. Handling is tight and crisp, and the car feels like an extension of your arms when driving. Power comes on smooth and sure throughout the RPM range, and there are no slips or stutters in the fuel delivery as you row through the gears. Braking is solid and sure, and the car scrubs off speed without any undue modulation or fade. It feels like you are buying a 16k mile car in every way, and a quick test drive will convince you that you purchased the right car.
